Vice Chairman Telephone: 01963 362165 Katie moved to Stalbridge with her partner and daughter in November 2006 to be near her parents. Katie works full-time as General Manager of a hotel in Southampton. Katie thinks Stalbridge is a fantastic place to live for all ages, she is delighted that her daughter will benefit from growing up here and attending the local school. Katie is passionate about the future of our wonderful town. |

Mr. W Batty-Smith MBE |
District Councillor Telephone: 01963 364300 Bill has been a member of Stalbridge Town Council since 1998. He and his family have lived in Stalbridge for nearly 30 years. Since his retirement from the oil industry in the Middle and Far East, Bill has given much of his time to serving the Community. He has been a District Councillor since 1999 and is currently Chairman of the District Development Control Committee. He has been a Community Office Volunteer since its inception. He is also vice-chairman of the DCC Health Scrutiny Committee, a Governor of the Dorset NHS Healthcare Trust and Vice Chairman of the Newlands Trust at Gryphon School. In 1977 Bill was awarded the MBE for services to the British Community in Lebanon during the Civil War. His personal policy is to represent the interests of all the residents of Stalbridge without political bias and to this end holds regular surgeries at the Community Office. |

Mr. John Cowley Telephone: 01963 362711 John, a family man, has lived in Stalbridge for fifty years, for forty of which he has been a Town Councillor and is a past Chairman. He has been the Town Council's representative on various outside bodies. His career was that of a Local Government Officer and his many interests include walking, cycling and woodwork. He continues to serve the local community. |

Mrs. P Ashcroft Telephone: 01963 362681 Pat, a Stalbridge resident for about 23 years with family locally has been a Councillor for around 18 years, most of that time being an active member of the General Purposes Committee. Pat is a bellringer at St. Mary’s Church, other interests include walking, swimming, cycling and bird watching. Environmental Issues are of interest to Pat, she regularly helps out with conservation work on the Trailway and would like to see it extended. |

Mr. John Smith John moved from Hertfordshire to Dorset in 1966 to work at Plessey in Templecombe and in 1969 he moved the 'Westacres' estate to Stalbridge with his young family. Since 1977 he has lived in one of Stalbridge's older properties with his second wife Jill. In 1971 he was instrumental in re-introducing Scouting in Stalbridge, and the group continues to thrive today. He has served on the local RNLI branch committee for many years. John is particularly interested in Stalbridge history and heritage, having a good local knowledge of the place and people makes him feel useful in serving on the Town Council. |

Mrs. Danny Hine
Danny was co-opted on to the Town Council in 2010 having retired from the post of Town Clerk, after 22 years service, in August 2009. She has lived in Stalbridge for some 55 years but has been connected with the Town all her life. She is passionate about Stalbridge and its future. |

Mr. V. A. Bishop
Moved to Stalbridge from Kent in 2009. Retired as a Solicitor after forty years, he has been a School Governor, both State and Private sectors, chaired Disciplinary Hearings in the NHS and was an Independent Member of a Standards Committee. |

Mrs. Tracey Watson | Town Clerk Telephone: 01963 364276 New to the position of Clerk at Stalbridge in September 2009 Tracey has worked on a job share basis as a Clerk and RFO for 6 years and has recently become CilCA (Certificate in Local Council Administration). She has lived in Templecombe for the last 10 years after re-location from Hertfordshire in 2001 and is married with two children. She is a member of St Mary's PCC and of Abbas & Templecombe school PTA and enjoys gardening, walking and riding. |
