Minutes of Planning Committee Meeting held in the Town Council Office
On Wednesday 22nd September 2004 commencing 7-30 p.m.

Present Councillors P Ashcroft, W Batty-Smith, M Butterworth, D Grimes, D Neal
J O’Hare, D Short and J Cowley Chairman, D J Hine (Clerk)

In attendance C Cllr. Mrs R Ash, D Cllr, G Car-Jones and 2 residents

Confirm minutes of last meeting and decisions of NDDC Planning Cttee

The minutes of the Planning Cttee meeting held on 8th September were approved and signed by the Chairman.

Decisions of NDDC Planning Committee

No. 0774 Lydden Cottage. Erect single storey extension Granted
No. 0201 Willow Barn, S. Weston. Erect single storey extension. Granted
No. 0653 Thornhill House. Erect gates and fences Granted
No. 0703 Blackmoor House. Erect 4 external lights Granted

W Batty-Smith advised that the NDDC had expressed concerns to South Somerset D C regarding the planning applications in respect of the erection of an aircraft facility and the erection of wind turbines on Henstridge Airfield

OPEN FORUM Planning matters only.

Mr Garton remarked that where the hedge has been removed at the Stalbridge Weston Road junction with the road to Stourton Caundle, visibility has been much improved.

Planning Applications

No. 0939 Unit 5 The Sidings. Convert for use as Adult ITC Training Centre. The application is in the name of the Town Council on behalf of the Community Learning Centre. It was proposed by P Ashcroft and seconded by J O’Hare that there be no objections. All agreed

LB 9152 The School House, Church Hill. Move vehicular access and increase the height of the wall. It was proposed by P Ashcroft and seconded by J O’Hare that there be no objections. All agreed.
