W Batty-Smith pointed out he was there in an advisory capacity only and would take no part in any decision making
Confirm minutes of last meeting and decisions of NDDC Planning Cttee
The minutes of the Planning Cttee meeting held on 15th December were approved and signed by the Chairman.
Decisions of NDDC Planning Committee
No. 1177 Priors Oak, Station Road. Erect extension. Granted
No. 1198 Cooks Lane. Extend agricultural building. Granted
OPEN FORUM Planning matters only.
Re. PA 1311 A neighbour of Wheatsheaf Cottage said they had no objection to the actual extension but would prefer it to be in a different place
Re PA 1283 The Applicant said that he hoped that the proposed development would provide and income and perhaps a home for his special needs son.
A resident of Robinson Heights objected to the height of the roof of the dwelling proposed near her property
Planning Applications
No. 1274 Drews Lane. Form access and site gas tank Copies of four letters of objection addressed to NDDC received from Foxlea Farm and Stud, Mrs S Turner, Mr & Mrs Eason and Mr T Lee. It was proposed by J O’Hare and seconded by J Cox that there be no objection provided that no mature trees are felled to provide the access and that the Highways Dept., are happy with the proposed access. 6 in favour
No. 1283 Blacksmith’s Workshop site. Convert to dwellings It was proposed by P Ashcroft and seconded by J Cox that refusal be recommended on the grounds that the loss of 2 successful commercial premises as a result of the proposed conversion to residential would be detrimental to the Town. 8 in favour.
No. 1299 Portland Cottage, Stalbridge Common. Erect extensions. It was proposed by J O’Hare and seconded by J Cox that there be no objections. All agreed. It was also agreed to comment that the Town Council found the plans to be very helpful.
No. 1311 Wheatsheaf Cott. S Weston. Rear extension. It was proposed by P Ashcroft and seconded by M Butterworth that there be no objections. 4 in favour (6 abstentions) Carried.
The Clerk advised that the Rural Housing Enabler would be attending the next Planning Meeting on the 26th January.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 8-10 p.m.
