Minutes of Planning Committee Meeting held in the Town Council Office
On Wednesday 1st June 2005 commencing 7-30 p.m.

Present Councillors W Batty-Smith, J Cowley, J Cox, D Neal, R Penfold and
I Semple Chairman, D J Hine (Clerk)

In attendance 4 members of the public

To receive apologies D Cllr G Carr-Jones, P Ashcroft, D Grimes, J O’Hare and D Short

Confirm minutes of last meeting and decisions of NDDC Planning Cttee

The minutes of the Planning Cttee meeting held on were approved and signed by the Chairman.

Decisions of NDDC Planning Committee

No official notifications received but W Batty-Smith advised that Mr W Dike has now been granted outline planning permission for the new supermarket and dwellings

OPEN FORUM Planning matters only.

Re. The Arrandale application a neighbour asked if the boundary wall is to be retained but it is now obvious from the plan

Planning Applications

No. 0500 Adbruf, Gibbs Marsh. Erect single storey extension. It was proposed by J Cox and seconded by J Cowley that there be no objections. All agreed

No. 0480 Arrandal, Barrow Hill. Erect 2 dwellings and garages. It was proposed by J Cox and seconded by J Cowley that there be objections to this application on the grounds that it would have an adverse impact of neighbouring properties and it is overdevelopment of the site. Ref. RF02/03. All agreed

Additional item

The Chairman requested that it be noted in the Minutes that Councillors had attended a presentation by Wessex Grain (either in Stalbridge or Henstridge) with regard to their proposed Bioethanol Plant on the Henstridge airfield site.
