Planning Applications

No. 0861  Land off Station Road.  Erect dwelling and garage.  It was proposed by J Cowley and seconded by J Cox that objections  be raised on the grounds that in the new position windows would be overlooking the neighbouring properties and much too close to their boundaries and that if Officers are minded to approve this application then the Town Council request that the matter be put before the full Development Control Committee.    7 in favour.    Motion carried

Somerset CC   Copse Quarry.   Deposit of inert material.    Details of what “inert material” consisted of having been obtained, this matter was discussed further.     Many objections had been raised by local residents in respect of a massive increase in heavy goods vehicles needed to transport the materials to the site.   It was also pointed out that the original planning permission was granted on condition that the site was not filled in but  returned to nature conservation.   It was proposed by J Cox and seconded by D Grimes that objections be raised on these grounds.   All agreed.
