Jenny and her husband moved to Stalbridge in 1970 where they both work for a local electronic company. She has two children who attended the local schools and are lucky to be both living and working in the Stalbridge area. Jenny has been a member of Stalbridge Town Council some 10 years, actively working on the General purpose and planning committee. She is one of the remaining founder members of the Community office where you would find her on a Saturday morning if you wish to discuss planning matters. Jenny also represents the youth club for the Council, which she helps out as a volunteer on Monday nights. She has two missions she would like to see completed whilst she is on the council. Firstly, the Youth and Community Project, where fund raising and grants will eventually allow the building of a new pre school and youth club building. Secondly to see a road crossing in the High Street, to make Stalbridge not only the best town in Dorset to live, but the safest as well. |

Mrs. J Wardell
I moved to Stalbridge some seven years ago, having previously lived in Somerset for 20 years. I felt immediately ‘at home’ in Stalbridge and care about the town and its locality, in particular environmental concerns. I value the area in which we live and would like to play a part in maintaining its character and improving local amenities. My particular interest is walking and I am a member of the Ramblers Association and am on the Committee of the North Dorset Group of the RA. I am keen to see a ‘Healthy Walking’ group set up in Stalbridge. I work as a PA to an Independent Financial Adviser in Somerton. |
