CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION

Waste Collection

18/3/2020

Picture
Waste collection advice if you have symptoms of coronavirus. Personal waste (such as used tissues) and disposable cleaning cloths can be stored securely within disposable rubbish bags. These bags should be placed into another bag, tied securely and kept separate from other waste. This should be put aside for at least 72 hours before being put in your usual external household rubbish bin or authorised blue sack.

Recycling, food, glass and garden waste can be disposed of as normal.

The two main symptoms of coronavirus are:
  • a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
  • a new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly
