2025 Lantern Parade
Stalbright is responsible for insuring the parade.
Therefore we require all participants in the parade to be registered in order to be covered by our insurance.
So, in a nutshell, no registration, no insurance cover - no joining the parade.
Here's a FAQ section to help you get ready:
What do I do if I don't have a lantern ? Lantern & stick kits are available for collection from the Community Library
for a suggested donation of £2 per lantern (this does not cover all the expenses but helps)
How do I light up my lantern? no naked flames are permitted.
Is there an age limit to take part in the Parade? - There is no age limit to participate.
Don’t forget to wrap up Warm & make it festive with Santa hats etc. & please bring bells, whistles and shakers.
However any children being registered MUST be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them during the parade.
Where do I go to join the start of the Parade? - The parade start point is at The Stalbridge Hall on Lower Rd leaving at 5.45pm
How do I register to take part in the parade - If you would like to register for the parade click on the image above
How will I know where to go? – The route leaves The Stalbridge Hall at 5.45pm processing around the Ring to gather outside Angelsey Cottages ,
you will be guided by Marshalls.
What happens when the parade gets to The Ring? - The stretch of road outside Anglesey Cottages will been closed to traffic.
The parade will gather in here for the lighting of the Lime tree.
On arrival at the Ring the lantern parade is over and parents are responsible for the safety of their children.
After the lighting of the lime tree join us at the Scout HQ for the telling of the nativity story & songs
Stalbridge Hall for a players performance and Band.
