In Stalbridge this year the Royal British Legion Stalbridge branch is working together with St Marys Church and the Town Council to facilitate community involvement in a safe  act of remembrance. To comply with social distancing measures and rules on gatherings as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic  we are altering the traditional format which has followed for many years
  • There will not be a parade to and from the Church
  • Acts of remembrance at the war memorial will be undertaken separately by individuals representing local groups and organisations.
  • In place of attending a gathering as an act of remembrance we are asking residents to:
  • Put pictures of big poppies in their house windows
  • Make donations for traditional paper poppies. (Available at all of the locations POSTED BELOW).
  • Stand at their front doors at 11am on Sunday 8th November for the two minutes silence as safe act of remembrance with neighbours.
  • Support the RBL charity campaign by making online donations.

We hope to take some photographs to share with the community .
We appreciate your co-operation as we enter another period of lockdown. We look to the example of those brave individuals who strove to re-build their lives which had been devastated by conflict and war.
These arrangements are subject to change at short notice in accordance with
covid 19 restrictions.
