An election will take place on 5th July for one vacancy on Stalbridge Town Council for a term that will run until May 2019.
Nomination papers are available from the Town Council Office and South Walks House and must be returned to South Walks House by 4pm 8th June. The repairs have been completed the cradle swing and Zip slide are now available for use. These works have taken a really long time and unfortunately we have not been able to avoid this. Thank you for your patience.
Ten requests for election to fill the Casual Vacancy on Stalbridge Town Council have been received by the Returning Officer. The requests for election are available for public inspection at South Walks House, South Walks Road, Dorchester, DT1 1UZ.  We have been advised by the contractors that the repairs to the zip slide and cradle swings at Jarvis Field play area will be complete next week.  The grass has been cut this week and there is a contractor re-visit on Thursday. By cordoning off the 2 worst areas of ground that will not effect use of the equipment we intend to open the area at the weekend. Over the summer months the Bench will be refurbished, a picnic bench installed, fencing works and the original cast iron entrance arch will be re-instated.
 Some of the grass surface in the play area and on the adjacent bank have not recovered from the installation works. We have had a mixure of turf and re-grading / re-seeding done this week . If the weather is kind to us this should mean the surface as a whole and will be adequate for long term use. Please bear with us as soon as it is viable the play area will be open. |
