Neighbourhood Planning group for Stalbridge?

Subsequent to the question of a Neighbourhood Plan for Stalbridge has been raised at a Town Council meeting it was agreed that the Town Council would gauge individual interest in becoming involved in the creation of a plan. This was first done via the Town Council web site and community facebook page in June. There were initially 6 people who expressed an interest, four of which have had an introductory meeting and information update. The group are now looking to grow and are looking for more people who are willing to get involved in the project.

100th Anniversary of the Battle of Amiens

As part of the Town’s commemorations to the 100th anniversary of the ending of the First World War, the Union Flag will be flown on the Ring on Wednesday 8 August.
The Battle of Amiens took place on 8 August 1918, involving British, Australian, Canadian, French and US Forces. The subsequent Hundred Day Offensive, was a four month period of Allied advances, resulting in the signing of the Armistice on 11 November.
